Lengthy List of 2017 Ram Truck Upgrades Include New Standard Engine and More

2016 Ram 1500

Ram stole the show at the recent State Fair of Texas to share their latest truck lineup, which is full of enhancements for its diverse list of trim models. These 2017 Ram truck upgrades are sure to make the latest edition of this classic the best yet.

To start with, the Ram Lone Star, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited have a new bold new grille, with the option for “RAM” lettering on the tailgate, and the 1500, 2500 and 3500 Longhorn variants will come with chrome throughout their design.

As far as new standard equipment, the 1500 Ram Longhorn will come with Keyless Go, SmartBeam headlights, and even rain-sensing windshield wipers; while all 4-wheel drive 2500 Heavy Duty Limited and Longhorn trucks will now use Bilstein monotube shocks for better handling.

Plus, the 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty Laramie, Longhorn, and Limited models will have a standard 6.4-liter V8 engine, raising the bar on the standard engine that one can expect from a pickup truck.

Lastly, the 2500 Heavy Duty model will come with a new 4×4 off-road package, which includes monotube Bilstein shocks, a skid plate under the transfer case, hill descent control technology, tow hooks, and even all-terrain tires.
