If you thought the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat was outrageous, wait until you see what the 2018 Challenger SRT Demon can do. Over the past few months, Dodge has been dropping a lot of hints about this upcoming supercar and according to Road and Track, they think it will be able to achieve a 10-second quarter-mile time.
Why do they think this? Recently, Dodge announced that the Demon will come with a four-point harness system, which is required at most drag strips for cars that can get under a 12-second quarter-mile.
In addition, the Demon will come with some chassis modifications, 315-width Nitto NT05R drag radial tires, and a nearly gutted interior. With these features, it seems the Demon only has one purpose in mind—to go as fast as possible.
While numbers haven’t been officially release yet, some sources believe the Demon will deliver a mind-blowing 757 horsepower, which is 50 horsepower more than the current Challenger SRT Hellcat. And, based on the other information we do know, this number doesn’t seem impossible.
The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will be officially unveiled at the New York International Auto Show just a few weeks away. Here at Blackburn Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, we can’t wait to see it in action. If you’re looking to get your own Dodge Challenger, check out our inventory today!
